Job Description:

Communities United is seeking a dedicated West Texas State Coordinator to join our team. This role involves leading regional initiatives aligned with our mission of promoting inclusive and vibrant communities. The Coordinator will develop strategic partnerships, oversee project implementation in areas of housing and equitable development, and facilitate community organizing efforts. This position demands a proactive, thoughtful approach to problem-solving in public policy and administration, and offers a significant opportunity to impact the social fabric of West Texas communities. Develop and execute strategies for community engagement and development in West Texas. Liaise with local government, non-profits, and community leaders to advocate for policies supporting housing and equitable development. Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Organize and facilitate public meetings and workshops to gauge community needs and feedback. Prepare grant applications and manage funds to support community projects. Regularly report on progress and challenges to senior management to inform strategic decisions. Strong leadership and project management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and negotiations Ability to analyze public policy and its implications on community development Competence in managing budgets and applying for grants Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred Training in community organizing or public policy is an asset
