Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A dynamic
opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language
Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinician to
support students in a vibrant K-12 public school setting in Las
Cruces, New Mexico. This contract position spans the current school
year and offers a chance to work within a small, highly supportive
district committed to student success. Key Qualifications: Valid
New Mexico state SLP licensure is a must (candidates must have
already applied if not yet issued) PED certification through the
New Mexico Department of Education by start date (pending status
allowed if licensure is current) Experience or willingness to learn
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is desirable
Bilingual skills preferred but not required (monolingual candidates
are welcome due to existing bilingual team members) Ability to
manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, including three
Structured Communication Classrooms (SCCs) Location and Setting:
Position is based in Las Cruces, NM, a scenic city in southern New
Mexico near White Sands National Park and approximately 46 miles
from El Paso, TX Primary assignment at an elementary school with a
welcoming team environment Caseload includes diverse speech and
language therapy needs within a K-12 public school context
Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech and language therapy
services to students based on individualized education plans
Collaborate with a team of bilingual SLPs in the district to foster
a supportive therapeutic environment Focus on current therapy needs
and caseload management; compensatory services plans are being
developed separately Participate in school-based meetings and
maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations
