Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellowship Year candidate
is needed for a travel position at a school located in Las Cruces,
NM. The role focuses on supporting students at an elementary school
within a small, highly supportive district in southern New Mexico,
with beautiful surroundings near El Paso, TX, and close to outdoor
attractions like White Sands National Park. Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy services to a caseload of
approximately 60 students, including those in three Structured
Communication Classrooms (SCCs). Focus on current therapy and
caseload needs; no compensatory services required initially.
Collaborate with a team of bilingual and monolingual SLPs who are
welcoming and supportive. Utilize willingness to learn,
particularly with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
systems, though experience is a plus, not required. Maintain
compliance with all state and district requirements throughout the
assignment. Qualifications: Licensure in New Mexico as an SLP is
required before the start date; candidates must already have
applied if not yet licensed. PED certification from the New Mexico
Department of Education is required but may be pending at start.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility preferred.
Bilingual candidates encouraged but monolingual candidates
considered. Prior experience working in school settings, especially
with diverse student populations, is strongly preferred. Location:
On-site position in Las Cruces, NM, a vibrant area approximately 46
miles from El Paso, TX, making it accessible for candidates in that
