Electrical Engineer tolead our realization efforts for the Sandia
Space Enterprise. These efforts focus on the application of
differentiating technologies and capabilities to the unmet mission
needs of our DoD and IC partners. Emphasis will be placed on
strengthening existing partnerships withing the U.S. Space
Enterprise, using a wide network of internal competencies, maturing
advanced electronics architectures as enabling technologies, and
the strategic execution of innovative space flight payloads.Space

given day, you may be called on to:Collaborate across Sandia
technical staff and management to develop strategies and roadmaps
for new space electronic technologies, systems, and architectures
as a recognized expert in space missions and applicationsFacilitate
the growth of our electronic architecture design competency by
using Sandia's internal scientific research programs, customer
funded advanced development needs, and internal partnershipsLead
and collaborate with technical team members across SNL and other
government agencies (OGA) on the design of space electronic
architecturesLead or guide (via mentorship) space payload
realization through full life cycle; conceptual designs, trade
studies, detail designs, procedures, assembly, testing, and
verificationApply organization knowledge and experience to
independently judge and review work quality, performance, and
alignment of results with customer expectationsReview research and
development proposals for quality, effectiveness, and impact to
strategic objectivesDevelop and present proposals for funding from
both internal and external customersIdentify resources from across
Sandia and OGA/industry to address technical needsServe as a
technical/programmatic interface lead for multiple levels of
customers/internal managementDocument customer expectations, define
performance requirements, and work with technical teams to assure
all expectations and requirements are metProvide mentoring,
coaching, and guidance for less-experienced staff and
managementIdentify gaps and opportunities to drive innovative
solutions and create the future of spaceDue to the nature of this
position, relocation near Albuquerque, NM is
required.Qualifications We RequireBachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant STEM field plus 12
years' relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant
education and experience (MS + 8 years')Ten years' experience
designing advanced electronic system architecturesFive years'
program and/or project leadership experience with DOD or IC
communitiesHands-on experience of working an electronic subsystem
through its lifecycle (designs/architecture, implementation/build,
testing and deploymentAbility to obtain and maintain a DoE Q and
SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test (or
equivalent)Qualifications We DesireProven ability to provide
effective technical team leadership for creating realized solutions
in response to complex and urgent national security
challengesDemonstrated ability to develop new methods and processes
by identifying new approaches for solving complex and difficult
technical problemsExperience with developing and implementing
strategic goals and objectivesExperience implementing and leading
SCI and/or Special Access Program (SAP) level technical
projectsExperience in leading and collaborating with experienced,
hard-working technical staffPossess a strong dedication to positive

with electrical systems for satellite payloads, and/or aerospace

systems that reduce jitter, improve optical performance, and
improve geolocation.Advancing sensor mod/sim beyond just
radiometry. Incorporating all aspects of the scene, collection
segment, and post-processing to understand overarching architecture
