Job Description Job Description Job Title: Technician Job Description The Technician will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and completing necessary repairs. This role involves rebuilding various plant and process equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related equipment. Additionally, the Technician will repair, rebuild, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, understand flow controls, and possess both mechanical and electrical inclinations. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant and process equipment. Rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related equipment. Repair and replace hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Understand flow controls and demonstrate mechanical and electrical inclinations. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience with preventive maintenance and repair services. Skilled in using tools like multimeter and voltmeter. Knowledge of industrial, food, and electronics systems. Electrical troubleshooting skills. Comfortable standing, walking, and climbing stairs for long periods. Proficiency in English reading and writing. Additional Skills & Qualifications High level of welding, electrical, or mechanical skills is a plus. Flexibility to work various shifts as plant and business needs arise. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a rotating shift schedule, with shifts from 6pm to 6am, offering a shift differential. The schedule rotates days off, providing one four-day weekend off a month while working seven days on and two off. The environment can vary between hot or cold in different areas. Flexibility is required as shifts may change based on plant and business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Cruces, NM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.93 - $30.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
