Job Description Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembler IV at 1 Helen of Troy Drive in El Paso, EX. The hours for this shift are 7:00 am - 3:45 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $20.47 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: The Assembler IV is responsible for a wide range of skills including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection. In this function, you will: • Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics. • Use various tools, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers to assemble switchboards' electrical wiring. • Handle materials following established procedures. • Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages. • Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required. • Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned • Flexing into other functions of the business Qualifications: Basic Qualifications /n - Must meet ONE of the following qualifications: /n - 1 year of electrical wiring experience OR/n /n - A completed technical degree in a related field OR/n /n - Connectors I & II certifications AND 1 year of experience as an Assembler III /n /n /n - No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. /n /n Preferred Qualifications: • 2 years of wiring experience • 2 years of assembly experience • Demonstrated knowledge of wiring assembly Position Success Criteria: • Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction. • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment. • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. • Proficient with computer operation and programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint. • Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
