Opportunity: CACI’s Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a Senior
Network Operations Engineer to support an Air Force Modernization
program. This Network Operations Engineer position is a
senior-level role responsible for the operations and maintenance of
complex network infrastructures within both classified and
unclassified Air Force base area networks. This position requires
extensive expertise in network engineering, security protocols, and
advanced troubleshooting to ensure the highest levels of network
performance, reliability, and security. Responsibilities: The
Network Operations Engineer Sr. will work closely with
Communications Squadron support staff, network engineers, and other
IT professionals to resolve complex network issues and maintain the
integrity and security of the network environment. Additional
responsibilities include: Oversee the day-to-day operations of
network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and
availability. Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of
complex network issues. Implement and manage network security
measures to protect classified and unclassified data. Lead a team
of network operations technicians, providing guidance, training,
and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative environment
that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Mentor
junior staff to develop their technical skills and career growth.
Ensure all network operations comply with Air Force security
standards and regulations. Conduct regular security audits,
vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Develop and
implement incident response plans for network security breaches.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations,
procedures, and incident reports. Prepare and present reports on
network performance, projects, and improvements to senior
management. Qualifications: Required: Active Secret security
clearance Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related work experience
(HS diploma or associate degree plus 10 years of DoD experience
supporting large, complex networks may be considered in lieu of
bachelor’s degree) Direct O&M experience of Air Force Base Area
Networks DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security
CE or CCNA-SEC); CCNP or CCDP or equivalent Proficient with MS
Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Desired: 5 years of
experience managing telecommunications and/or data center projects

host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not
limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor
categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience,
specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
