The Hospitals of Providence - Sierra Campus
The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus is a multi-location
hospital with a main 283-bed acute care facility and a 23-bed
surgical specialty facility located at the foot of the Rocky
Mountains, providing healthcare services to El Paso, the
surrounding communities of west Texas, southern New Mexico, and
northern Mexico. The hospital is part of the largest healthcare
system in the region, with four (4) acute-care hospitals and over
50 access points across the area.
Sierra Campus specializes in high-acuity services, including
advanced cardiac care with a comprehensive structural heart
program. It houses a 12-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit and a 24-bed
Intensive Care Unit. Sierra is the only hospital in the region
capable of performing TAVR and Mitral Clip procedures, and also
performs open-heart surgeries, advanced neurosciences including
neurological and brain surgery, and dedicated orthopedic and spine
surgery programs. It is designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center
and has received the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of
Excellence by the American College of Cardiology.
The campus offers advanced healthcare services in general surgery,
gastroenterology/endoscopy, and has a 24-bed Inpatient
Rehabilitation Unit. It also features minimally invasive robotic
surgeries using the MAKO robot, Da Vinci system, and Stealth Spinal
Navigation.
Since 1976, Sierra Campus has been committed to providing

brain, and orthopedic care. The facility is fully accredited by the
Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees the daily operations of
the facility and related services, ensuring delivery of
high-quality, cost-effective care with a positive financial margin.
The COO promotes the facility's image and aligns with the mission,
standards, and values of the facility, Tenet, and the communities
served.
FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The COO provides strong leadership, strategic direction, and
assistance in setting and executing plans to maximize the
facility's long-term potential. Key responsibilities
