Director of Radiology jobs in New Mexico. This individual's primary role is to plan, organize, develop, implement, evaluate and direct the overall operation of the Radiology Department, Cardiopulmonary Department and the Outpatient Diagnostics Center in accordance with federal, state and local standards. Coordinates performance improvement activities and quality improvement. Performs management activities, including interviewing, hiring, evaluation, and termination of department staff. Develops Radiology operating and capital budget and is responsible for managing the department within budgetary constraints.. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but not limited to the following). Description:Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registry with the ARRT in Radiology. Advanced level registry in CT, MR, NM or US preferred. Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration or. 10 years in the field of Radiology with at least 2 to 4 years' experience in supervision and management of Radiology. Knowledge of charge masters. Manages and coordinates the activities of assigned radiology technologists, mammographers, MRI, CT, US and nursing at the Imaging Center . Manages and coordinates activities of radiologic technologists, diagnostic medical sonographers and clerical personnel at assigned clinics. Provides accurate diagnostic data for interpretation by the radiologist and use by medical provider in providing patient care. Prepares and manages department budgets, ensures efficient and coordinated staffing flow among clinics or specialty areas, and ensures purchase of radiology equipment and supplies is cost-effective and meets quality standards.Essential Responsibilities:. This position will comply with all Medical Center quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice in every interaction with patients, colleagues, providers, and leadership.. Requirements. At least 5 years of progressive clinical Radiology and managerial experience.. Bachelor's Degree in Radiology, required. Master's Degree, preferred. Unrestricted License with any United States recognized Board of Radiology, required. BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
