Memorial Medical CenterThe Nurse Educator works within the Education Department and collaborates with Medical Center Departments to assess, implement and evaluate educational and development programs for MMC independently and collaboratively. The Nurse Educator provides service to patients throughout the life span.A fundamental component of this role will be to serve as the Program Coordinator for our hospital's accredited Adult LaunchPoint Nurse Residency program. The Program Coordinator works in conjunction with Human Resources and Nursing Leaders to assist in the planning, implementation, instruction, and evaluation of residency activities, as well as successful maintenance of the LaunchPoint Program's accreditation with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).Essential Functions:-Provides multi-disciplinary education and support to the care team.-Responsible for maintaining the regulatory documentation.-Researches, selects and develops instructional tools, audio-visual materials and evaluation methods to implement programs of education.-Presents educational offerings independently and with other instructional team members.-Adjusts course content and materials based on participant evaluation and measurable outcomes to improve or update curriculum.-Identifies and evaluates outside speakers and programs that would benefit MMC Team Members.-Maintains continuing education documentation for all specialties supported by Educational Services.-Participates on, and/or lead committees or workgroups as assigned.-Maintains accurate records of all programs presented, including goals and objectives, need for program, participation and outcomes.This is an exempt position.
