PSYCHOLOGISTSITE OF SERVICE: Fort Bliss El Paso, TXPOSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association. Certifications: Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.o Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience: Have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a licensed clinical psychologist Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands. U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate. Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.DUTIES: Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct. Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate. Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders. Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries. Assist in rehabilitation of patients.HOURS: 8 hour shifts. Shifts will be set by the scheduling officer as soon as possible.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential.
