This travel nursing opportunity offers a dynamic emergency department setting, competitive benefits, and the chance to make a real impact while exploring Alamogordo’s outdoor adventures and vibrant community./n /n/nEmergency Room RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico 88310/n - Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ER)/n - Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)/n - Shift: 12-Hour Nights (multiple shifts available; start times between 3pm – 7pm)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1680/n - Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend days per 6 weeks/n - On-Call Requirement: 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks/n - Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5/n /n/nER RN Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state/n - Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA/n - Current TNCC certification required/n - Minimum 1 year of recent emergency nursing experience preferred/n - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred/n - Ability to complete New Nurses Orientation and all competency validations/n /n/nEmergency Room Nurse Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ER setting, treating clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency cases/n - Apply the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation/n - Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor patient response and side effects/n - Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided/n - Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and available resources/n - Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals/n - Maintain annual competency verification and adhere to all hospital policies/n /n/n /n Experience the best of New Mexico nursing jobs—enjoy Alamogordo’s outdoor recreation, local culture, and a supportive healthcare environment.
