Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Multiple shifts available with in-time varying from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM • Full-time position available starting as soon as possible • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 • Weekend requirement: 6 weekend days worked per 6 weeks • On-call requirement: 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed • Floating may be requested but unlikely due to census • Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA • RN License in state of employment or compact state required • 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire • Complete preceptorship with designated trained staff member • Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation • Annual competency verification requirements must be maintained • Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided • Assess learning needs and provide patient/family education Facility: This healthcare organization operates as part of a comprehensive medical network providing emergency services and trauma care to the community.
