Orthopedic Surgery for a travel nursing job in Alamogordo, New
Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedic
Surgery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/02/2025 - Duration: 13
weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment
Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered
Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent
hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to
start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful
completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus
available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour day
shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Full-time position with 2 openings
available • Weekend requirement: Yes • On-call requirement: Every
other week • Will rotate float to Med/Surg telemetry if not needed
in unit • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5 • Provide care for orthopedic
patients including joint replacements, fractures, shoulder and
podiatry cases • Administer medications and treatments using
appropriate protocols • Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
of prescribed treatments • Document patient history, symptoms,
medication, and care given • Assess learning needs and provide
education to patients and family members • Address psychological,
emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families •
Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers •
Required certifications: BLS, RN License in state of employment or
compact • 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty
preferred • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Temp
