Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - ED ER /n/n Job Details: /n • Multiple shifts available with in-time varying from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM /n• Full-time position /n• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 /n• 6 weekend days required per 6 weeks /n• 2 on-call shifts required per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed /n• Floating may be requested but unlikely due to census /n• Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases /n• Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA /n• RN License in state of employment or compact required /n• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred /n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred /n• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire /n• Precepted by designated trained staff member with competency validation required /n• Complete annual competency verification requirements /n• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation /n• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness /n• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided /n• Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare organization operates as part of a comprehensive medical system providing emergency services in the region.
