ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedic Surgery for a travel nursing job in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/02/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Weekend requirement: Yes • On-call requirement: Every other week • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5 • Will rotate float to Med/Surg telemetry unit when not needed in OR • Specializes in orthopedic surgery including joint replacements, fractures, shoulder procedures, and podiatry cases • Required certifications: BLS and RN License (state of employment or compact) • 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Provide routine and complex patient care utilizing the nursing process • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided • Assess learning needs and provide patient/family education • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families • Temp to permanent position available • Blocked scheduling not accommodated Facility: This healthcare organization is a comprehensive medical center that provides a wide range of surgical services with a focus on orthopedic procedures.
