ICU RN Job Details - Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment - Location: Silver City, New Mexico 88061 - Assignment Type: Travel Nursing - Healthcare Setting: Community Hospital ICU - Start Date: November 17, 2025 - End Date: February 16, 2026 - Contract Duration: 13 weeks - Nursing Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,780 - $1,910 - Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics - Orientation: 18 hours Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience - Active New Mexico RN license or Multi-State Compact RN Licensure - Current BLS (AHA) certification - Current ACLS (AHA) certification - PALS certification preferred - Charge nurse experience preferred - Experience with Meditech charting system preferred - Community hospital nursing experience preferred ICU Nurse Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality patient care in the ICU, including OB, CICU, SICU, MICU, and PICU cases - Manage patient ratios of 3:1, including ICU and Med-Surg overflow - Assist with procedures: chest tube insertion/removal, arterial line management, central line care - Administer emergency medications, blood products, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips - Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and manage multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Care for ventilated patients and those requiring advanced respiratory support (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC) - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy - Maintain strict infection prevention and isolation protocols - Float to other nursing units as needed - Participate in block scheduling and work some holidays as required Discover the benefits of travel nursing jobs in New Mexico and experience the support of a collaborative healthcare team.
