Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Multiple shifts available with full-time work schedule • Must have recent ER experience (trauma I, II, or III) • Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases • Work 6 weekend days per 6-week period • 2 on-call shifts required per 6 weeks for emergencies or additional shifts as needed • Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation • Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families • Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers • Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC certification • New Mexico RN license or compact license required • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • One year of related nursing specialty experience preferred • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days and complete competency validation requirements Facility: This healthcare organization is a comprehensive medical facility that provides emergency services capable of handling a wide range of cases from routine clinic-type patients to complex trauma situations.
