ICU/Critical Care RN in Silver City, New Mexico, 88061! Job Title:
ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 -
07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
License: Current state licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
preferred Must-Have: Broad knowledge in a variety of ICU areas.
Experience with patients in multiple ICU specialties. Willingness
to work with diverse patient populations. Ability to manage
critical care responsibilities. Description: We are seeking an ICU
Registered Nurse with broad knowledge in a variety of ICU areas.
Our nurses may have patients from different specialties and should
be prepared for any of those areas. Previous charge experience is
preferred. Experience with patient ratios in critical care is
important. Familiarity with charting systems is preferred. Key
responsibilities include managing multi-system organ dysfunction
and treating critically ill patients. Success in this role requires
accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and chest
tube assistance. The nurse will administer blood products and
manage ventilated patients effectively. Experience in isolation
precautions and infection prevention is necessary. Understanding of
dysrhythmias and their management is essential. The nurse will also
maintain IVs and manage IV sedation. Expected patient ratios are 3
patients per nurse during each shift. The nursing role requires
teamwork with interdisciplinary support from various departments.
Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work some holidays is
