Job Description Job Description To Apply for this Job Click Here Director of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – NEONATAL ICU DIRECTOR – Registered Nurse (RN) SIGN ON BONUS POSITION TYPE: Registered Nurse (RN) - Director SPECIALTY UNIT: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Critical Care LOCATION: El Paso, Texas SHIFT: Days JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent Job Description: The Director is responsible for the care given to patients within the critical care inpatient units; day-to-day departmental operations and productivity; future development and budgetary projections for the service line. The Director ensures the critical care inpatient units maintain the highest degree of efficiency and safety in providing quality care in all invasive and non-invasive procedures including quality improvement, staff competency, inventory control and cost containment, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and physician satisfaction. The Director collaborates and coordinates the efforts of critical care staff to accomplish the mission of the hospital. The Director leads by example and holds others accountable for adhering to our goals, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities: You will promote a multi-disciplinary coordination of services, such as, nursing, medical, respiratory care, laboratory, pharmaceutical and public relations. You will develop, monitor, appraise and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes within the ICU Department. You will develop a plan for capital resources required to maintain quality care in ICU. You will administer and appraise Quality Improvement within the services provided. You will control processes related to Human Resources; inclusive of hiring, evaluating, terminating, counseling, coaching and development of the staff. Develops, supervises, and administers adult, geriatric and adolescent services as necessary. BLS, ACLS certification required Associate degree in nursing required. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
