The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus (El Paso, TX) is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for call-only inpatient coverage over the holidays December 22, 2025 (7am) through January 5, 2026 (7am) . This is a great opportunity to lock in premium holiday coverage and position yourself for future recurring dates the facility expects to release soon. Assignment Snapshot Setting: Inpatient only Coverage Type: Call-Only (2nd call / backup) Patients per day: 2 3 Phone consults: 3 4 per 24 hrs Admissions: 2 3 Unassigned patient coverage EMR: Cerner Temp privileges available (30-day credentialing window) Nearest Airport: El Paso International (ELP) Required Skills (Great mix of bread-and-butter GI no outpatient load) Upper Endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder control, variceal injection) ERCP Diagnostic & Therapeutic- preferred PEG placement Esophageal dilation & manometry Small bowel biopsy Flexible & rigid sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy Polypectomy EUS- Preferred Requirements Board Certified Gastroenterologist ACGME-accredited residency/fellowship Active Texas license ACLS required- we can help with Life Support Certification!
