Description Our firm seeks an associate attorney for our rapidly growing practice. Our main areas of practice include general civil litigation, commercial litigation, real property disputes, construction law, trust and estates litigation, probates, personal injury, and family law. However, there will be opportunities in wide-ranging, varied areas of law, e.g., our associates have briefed appeals for the New Mexico Court of Appeals, represented clients in administrative hearings before state regulatory boards, and negotiated commercial and real estate contracts. Associates will receive mentorship and one-on-one training with our managing partner, mentorship and one-on-one training with our more experienced associate attorney(s), one-on-one training with experienced litigators and mentors outside of the firm, and opportunities for court appearances, throughout their employment. Responsibilities: Legal Research and Writing Document Review Discovery Depositions Oral Argument Motion and Merits Hearings Trials Settlement Negotiations/Alternative Dispute Resolution Qualifications Required Work Experience: None (0-1 year) Required Education and Licenses: J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School Admission to the New Mexico State Bar (Please note that employment prior to bar admission is available at a reduced salary.
