JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical Unit

RN - MED/SURG

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting.
• Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in the Medical/ Surgical unit with adequate supervision.
• Clients served are predominately adults eighteen years of age and older.
• Occasionally adolescents age 12 and up are seen.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical Unit

RN - MED/SURG

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited RN program.
• BSN preferred, but not required.
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in a Med/Surg unit in an Acute Care setting.
• Must have BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association approved courses.
• Must have an RN license in the State of North Carolina, COMPACT nursing state, or have the ability to obtain one.
