Job Summary

AMENTUM is currently seeking a qualified Electronics Technician in support of U.S. Air Force maintenance operations at Holloman AFB NM. This contract consists of F-16 Block 40 aircraft organizational level (O-level) assigned to the 54th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (54AMXS), 8th Aircraft Maintenance Units (AMU) contractor operation and Intermediate level (I-Level) supplementing the 54th Maintenance Squadron (54 MXS), 49 MXS and 49 LRS to support flying training for the 56th Fighter Wing (56 FW), 54th Fighter Group (54 FG), training mission at Holloman AFB (HAFB), NM. This is a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) position.

The Electronics Technician maintains the Central Technical Publications Library (CTPL) in a complete and current status per current regulations. Requisitions, receives, screens, reviews, routes, distributes as necessary and files all incoming technical manuals media. Establishes dispersed libraries and necessary control functions to distribute data. Establishes and maintains a training program for assigned library personnel, including dispersed librarians. Develops an automatic verification program using the guidance provided. Develops and maintains a program for classified technical media receipt, stowage, distribution, inventory, and disposition in accordance with current regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • In Accordance With (IAW) T.O. 00-5-1, the TODO accomplishes all TODO requirements utilizing the approved Air Force Database system. Is experienced utilizing the Air Force Enhanced Technical Information System (ETIMS).
  • Creates, maintains Technical Order accounts and libraries as required IAW T.O. 00-5-1.
  • Maintains e-tool accounts, e-tools, and all associated hardware and software.
  • Receives and maintains Revisions, Supplements, Changes and Time Compliance Technical Orders through the approved Air Force database system. Provides a listing of all Technical Order Changes, Revisions, Supplements, and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) to the Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) and all AMENTUM Personnel as required.
  • Establishes T.O. sub-account libraries where required. Completes audits of all libraries and documents the findings for inclusion in the Quality Control reporting.
  • Performs spot checks and audits on all assigned T.O. Libraries, Accounts and Sub Accounts.
  • Catalog, index, circulate and inventory classified and unclassified documents, periodicals, media, and electronic format files.
  • Conduct research and investigate sources of special data that may be available in, and out of collection.
  • Provide information searches for customers.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste and smell. Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, or may include unsafe conditions, in which case questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards, and providing feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues. Night work may be required. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Candidate also must pass an FBI fingerprint check prior to being offered employment. Position may require travel.

Minimum Requirements

  • Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and to take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Candidate also must pass an FBI fingerprint check prior to being offered employment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check.
  • Knowledge in all phases of TO management, including TO maintenance, page counts and binder maintenance.
  • Ability to instruct technicians of various skill levels on operation of electronic technical orders - clear communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of TODO/TO Library and Advanced TODO training.
  • Planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science and 2 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Requires operating application software including word-process and spread sheet programs.
  • Develop and maintain cataloging methodology to facilitate to storage and retrieval of documents stored in the library.
  • Conduct research and investigations.
  • Provide recommendations to the customer as to storage conversion and retrieval of existing documentation to electronic format.
  • Manage daily operation of Information Center.
  • Conduct on-line document reference service.
  • The Contractor FSA/CST shall have, as a minimum, Security + and Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 1 certification IAW DOD 8570.01-M & AFMAN 17-1303.
