The primary task for the person will be to lead the team supporting the maintenance team with preflight and postflight inspections including dispositioning of any findings, and support flight day operations including real time control room monitoring of mechanical systems.

  • Develop deep understanding of vehicle system functions and failure modes to support continued safe flight of vehicles
  • Day to day tasking of team and reporting on tasking to leadership
  • Review and approval of dispositions and repairs generated by the team
  • Support maintenance crew in pre and post flight inspections and findings
  • Support creation and sustainment of aircraft maintenance manual procedures
  • Provide real time support and direction to flight crew during a flight
  • Uses engineering judgment to evaluate findings and disposition nonconformances
  • Other duties to support company objectives as requiredWhat you bring
    • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
    • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
    • Working knowledge of aircraft and space systems
    • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
    • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
    • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure
    • Excellent written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, strong team player.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR 120.15)Preferred Skills and Experience
      • 6+ years of relevant industry experience
      • 2+ years technical leadership experience
      • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
      • Experience with aircraft maintenance and/or flight operations
      • CAD Software Catia V5
