Job Description Job Description About the Role: The Dental Assistant position is integral to the smooth operation of our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in a proactive approach to patient education, quality care, compliance with health and dental regulations in a welcoming environment. Job Description Assist during examinations and procedures, with four-handed dentistry techniques. Mix materials and cements, place rubber dam, suction, take dental impressions, fit space maintainers, take digital x-rays, etc. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and infection control protocols. Manage and monitor sedated patients. Manage dental and medical documentation and maintain accurate dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by educating patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care instructions and addressing any other patient inquiries Qualifications: Certification in dental assisting Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Excellent communication skills, and FLUENT in both English and Spanish Previous experience with Dentrix is a PLUS, but not required Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
